These were the first minis I painted as I picked up this hobby. The dark green Leo Mobile Suit was the first one I completed, Red Gun Cannon second and the green Zaku II was the third. Starting out with the Leo, I did not know what I was doing but I want to keep it as is to be able to look back at where I started. I used shade paint for the first time on the gun cannon. Then with the Zaku I added a base that was based on one of Boylei Hobby Time videos on Gundam minis.
The early advice I read and stuck with me was to only focus on learning one technique per model and I have tried to stick with it since. It has helped me focus on learning and not to have the pressure of perfection along for the ride as well.
